Sylviid Warblers in Kent
5 species matching this filter.
Kent's diverse landscapes, from the chalk downlands and heathlands of the North Downs to its coastal scrub and woodland edges, provide excellent habitat for Sylviid warblers. Five species have been recorded in the county, including the ever-popular Blackcap and the scarce Dartford Warbler, which favours the lowland heathland patches found in parts of the county. Summer visitors such as the Whitethroat and Garden Warbler bring a characteristic soundtrack to Kent's hedgerows and thickets from April onwards.
